Dell Introduces New Rugged Tablet that Weighs Just 1.5 Pounds
Dell Latitude 7030 Rugged Extreme Tablet, Small, Lightweight, Durable
As the name implies, this rugged tablet is designed to be more resilient from extreme environments, offers high mobility with a 10-inch screen, and is relatively lightweight for rugged tablets. Its chassis weight of only about 2.2 pounds will provide users with comfortable use, mainly when carried to explore the work area.
The tablet already has MIL-STD-810 and IP65 military standards to be more resilient in extreme weather. Dell has tried dropping this tablet from a height of four feet to survive in the lowest temperature of -20 F to 145 F. This IP65 rating will maximize the tablet to stay dust and water.
Not only that, Dell also equips the tablet with the ControlVault TPM 2.0 security system, which is a hardware-based encryption device capable of protecting user data and privacy on this tablet. The tablet also has other Windows security systems, such as fingerprint sensors, camera covers, and card readers.
